Dans le contexte particulier du marché immobilier parisien, les étudiants qui parviennent à habiter seuls un logement indépendant constituent une petite minorité. La plupart trouve à se loger par le biais d'une cohabitation (au sens générique du terme), le plus souvent en continuant à habiter au domicile familial, et plus rarement en vivant en couples mariés ou non, avec des connaissances, ou dans une structure d'hébergement collectif. L'observation de leurs distributions spatiales et une typologie permettent de caractériser les espaces résidentiels des étudiants parisiens.

Housing and types of accommodation of students in Paris.

Within Greater Paris, housing market conditions only allow to a minority of students to live alone on their own. Most students have to find shared housing accommodations: within their own families, with other relatives, with friends, in university halls, or as married or unmarried couples. According to housing accommodations, student residential spaces are identified by means of a typology.
