The challenge of Third World cities and the urban poor
This bibliography was constructed with the intention of exploring the breadth and depth of literature available on Third World Cities, or the urban poor in developing countries. There is a wealth of literature on the urban poor. Since the mid 1900s, humanitarians and academics have been exploring the effects of and reasons for disparities in rapidly developing cities. As the population explosion centralizes around urban areas in developing countries, several aspects of physical and organization infrastructures need to be addressed to both counteract disparities and further environmental degredation.
