Description
South Africain cities present some peculiarities due to the early implementation of racial segregation and its systematization under the apartheid regime. Such ideologies have given birth to a specific spatial form, which is the township. This paper aims to show how Black people have taken over this space and transformed it into place, through the political subversion of its very layout as well as social practices. Thus, the township has become something of an urban model even in the post-apartheid era... (Résumé d'auteur)
