Loïc Wacquant teaches in the Department of Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley and is the author of 'Urban outcasts : A comparative sociology of advanced marginality', amongst other works.

Tyler Stovall teaches in the Department of History at the University of California, Berkeley, and is the author of "Paris noir: African Americans in the City of Light", amongst other works.
