Description
The issue of everyday life and familiar spaces in architectural conception of cities and more generally the environment has been part of professionnal reflections, particularly since the end of the Second World War. We propose to establish their genealogy and analyse the circumstances and stakes related to the issues posed by everyday life. How such an historical enquiry can bring light on contemporary researches on ambiances? By return, how the in situ approach and its methodologies can enable us to pay a different attention to historical materials? This article tries to answer these questions, particularly by looking into tools used by professionals, for example representations, such as photographs and notations, which allow the depiction of spaces of everyday life in all the diversity of their accomodation and also their manipulation.
